From March 2nd to 6th, I’ll be hosting this super fun online event to encourage you to get into your kitchen and bake up some incredible naturally sweetened cakes. Take this as your personal invitation to join me and your fellow home bakers in one week of cake baking fun!
What is Naturally Sweet Cake Week?
If there’s one thing my Instagram data has taught me, it’s that everyone (and I truly mean everyone) loves cake. And what do people love more than cake? Guilt-free cake! That’s why we’re here.
This week is all about building your confidence baking cakes with natural sweeteners so that you can enjoy baking and eating guilt-free cake year-round, not just for special occasions!
I have THREE delicious cake recipes lined up for you and they’re all dead simple to make and use easy-to-find ingredients. Here’s a little sneak peek of the cakes on the menu next week:
I’ll be walking you through how to bake each of these naturally sweetened cakes in my posts as well as in new video tutorials! And I’ll also be demonstrating some very simple decorating techniques that will make your cakes stunning with barely any effort!

Why the focus on cake, specifically?
In short, because cake has gotten intimidating.
In this world of six-tiered masterpieces, golden painted drips, and stripey unicorn poops, we can feel as if our amateur skills just don’t measure up.
Don’t get me wrong, I love watching professionals bake beautiful cakes – I find them incredibly inspiring. But I also know how overwhelm can paralyse you into believing that you can’t create something as marvelling as the cakes saved in your Instagram bookmarks.
For a long time, I believed that as a home baker, an Insta-worthy cake was beyond my capability. I haven’t taken any patisserie or decorating courses – I’m completely self-taught. I came up with a whole ton of excuses why I didn’t bake cakes. Things like:
- They’re too hard and finicky and there are too many steps
- I don’t have the time
- I don’t have anyone to share it with
- Cake should be reserved for special occasions.
But if I’m truly honest, I stopped baking cake regularly because of a lack of confidence and comparison-itis.
It wasn’t until I started this blog that I truly got back into cake baking. And you know what? IT’S FUN!
Cake is fun to bake, fun to decorate, fun to look at, fun to share with loved ones, and (most importantly) fun to EAT.
Baking a stunning cake doesn’t have to be hard or intimidating or take three thousand steps. It doesn’t have to be stressful or panic-inducing.
I want you to feel proud posting your cakes in your squares, but mostly I want you to feel like cake baking is enjoyable so that you find the time to bake, share your creations with your tribe, and want to do it more than once a year.
